Winter in Poland, surprisingly for many Europeans, is not present by all 12 months during the year.
In fact, it starts in December and finishes in March.
So, many people hate this part of the year - it is not difficult to understand them. Cold,
snow - problems with roads and going to work or school; problems with house heating...
Many people has no will to go outside the house, wearing big and heavy clothes.
But we can discuss advantages of winter too.
Exactly in December we celebrate the day of Santa Nicolaus (in Poland on 6th of December) and Christmas.
It is special time
and the climate of it is wonderful and unique. It is only single time in the year
when so many people reconcile. It is time of Christmas tree. It is exactly in winter when
we have fun during two weeks holidays in February. We have an occasion to go
with all the family in the mountains skiing. But December is a special time for one more reason.
It is time when we say goodbay to the old year and welcome with new hope the new one on 31st day of the month.
We have good time then on parties...
So anyway we can say: "winter is okay!" - many of us wait for it with impatience.
