14 reasons for which you should visit Poland
1. Polish hospitality

Anywhere you will go, anybody you will talk to, all people by one voice tell, that Poles are very hospitable. We always take care about our guests, we are nice and kind for them. Come to Poland and you will discover our sincerity and hospitability. In Poland we say: "Guest at home - God at home!".

2. Hundred years of culture and tradition

Poland is a country very rich in traditions and attached to them. Our culture, traditions and customs was build by us for over 1500 years. Everything started from 550 year A.C. in Biskupin. Expansion of Polish culture and traditions was guaranted by Piast dynasty, and then by Jagiellonian dynasty. The turning point for Polish culture expansion was 1038 year when the king Kazimierz Odnowiciel established Polish country capital in Cracow. Now Cracow is described as a centre of European Culture.
3. Wild and clear nature

In Poland there was not so much expansion of agriculture policy as we could observe in the countries of European Union. Poland dispose many regions free from artificial prefabricants or ecological disasters. There are many farms which produce ecological food in natural ways used for hundred years. This is cultivated by small farms, which live with beautiful idea of beloved soil, by all appearances it is old tradition, but they are very important here if we will look for unique landscape, protective tradition and leasure forms as well as ecological food which they offer. Many National Parks (with thousands square kilometres of areas), forests, lakes, access to the Baltic Sea and to the mountains make our country very atractive regarding tourism. Everybody will find something for it. Beautifull landscapes, meadows with wild flowers, wild nature, which we let live their natural life, give us many goods by "all hands".
4. Poland - a country of health

Many bee farms which made natural honey and many bee's products with medicinal property. Rich resources of salt which made Poland very famous in Europe in historical times, rich resources of mineral waters which are situated over many sediment's layers on big deeps such as: Nałęczowianka or Piwniczanka, big areas of pine forests rich in iodine let for expansion of big base of spas and sanatoriums in Poland. And for exaple Krynica which is situated in Little Poland region was famous with its medicinal characteristics in Europe before the 2nd World War. This region was visited by many visitors from all over Europe and not only... The salt spa which was build on base of one of the oldest salt mines in Europe in Bochnia is an unique atraction today. And Polish nature beginning from the Baltic Sea to the Tatra mountains finish has it's own spa power...
5. Rich cultural life

Poland - the country of such composers as: Jan Ignacy Paderewski or, contemporary for us, Krzysztof Penderecki, country rich in theatres and operas, folk festivals such as country's Dożynki, folk artists dance. Poland is known of painters such as Jan Matejko or Jacek Malczewski. Wonderfull literature beginning from not famous national writers and finishing on Noblists sutch as: Czesław Miłosz, Wisława Szymborska. Polish cinematic and directors are famous in the world too, for example such names as: Wajda, Polański, Kieślowski aren't anonymous. In last years Poland is growing too in the world of fashion, now the world is shocked by fashion creator Arkadius. Exaples can be multiplied ... With all responsibility we can say that another chapter of the world's history is being written by a great Pole John Paul II - Polish Pope. Extra many of festivals such as Sopot Festival or uncountable cultural exhibitions and Polish mountain people's culture, sacral culture - give big opportunities to have wonderful leasure in Poland.
6. Paradise for hunters

Poland was famous from the oldest times in Europe with hunts and catches for wild games. Beautifully desribed in "Pan Tadeusz" book by Adam Mickiewicz, a hunt show great potential and tradition of it in old forgotten times. Many games and forests without end were always one of the most important reasons to European kings, princes and another European well known and respected to come to Poland for hunting. Now this tradition is renewed. We can observe founding new hunters rings, there are many new farmers specialized in game race, on our eyes grow centres specialized in hunting organisation with old tradition atractions.
7. Cracow - European City of Culture

Cracow is one of the most important cities for Polish people. Here grows Polish tradition, here was built our Polish mentality, here were taken the most important decisions for Poland. The most famous Polish and European artists and architects came and powered from here. Cracow is the city of the Pope. Cracow and Little Poland was on the way of old tracts of trade exchange betwen East and West Europe and Asia. Cracow it is the center of Polish education - here was built first Polish and one of the oldest European academies - Yagiellonian Univesity (Uniwersytet Jagielloński). Now this city shows to the visitors its misterious power and magic of historic places, museums, specific atmosphere of art and culture. Cracow was the capital of European Culture for 2002.
8. Nature monuments and... storks

Polish people take care about Polisn anture and its beautiful power. We have respect to old trees and dying flowers species. We are oak's country. In Poland you can observe that among many nature monuments oaks trees are the biggest part. The oldest oak in Poland is called "Bartek", with trunks diameter about 6 meters. But nature monuments are not only trees - there are rocks and many caves too. Poland is famous for storks. It is well known that these beautiful birds chose Poland for their home. The half of all population of these birds in Europe spend their summer in Poland.

9. Trails of war conflicts

Poland by centuries was always jerked by war conflicts which are the source of many military buildings, machines etc. in Poland since those times. Many trails of war times, starting from castles from the begining of Polish country history, by Krzyzak castles in Pomerania, castles and military buildings from the times of Polish-Swedish War, from home conflicts such as: Targowica, Poland's break, monuments of I and II World War such as military cemeteries build of rock by Italian war prisoners, German bonkers, stories about covert treasures are not little tourist attraction. These all things show people disasters and sufferings too. They show war senseless. To the most atracive building of this kind we can rank one and the only in the world train bunker with high quality rooms for German soldiers, situated near Pilzno, exactly here Hitler and Mussolini meeting had place, and another such place is Hitler's headquarters in Warmia and Masuria region, called "Wolf's quarter".
10. Polish cuisine

Well known in all Europe and in many world's countries are many old Polish dishes such as: hunter's bigos or cutlet with tomato and cabbage. We are in addition famous from lard too, and of course healthy delicious hen's clear soup. The celebration of food by rich old Polish table is known as a kind of typical country culture, which show family ties and ties between people in Poland and of course respect for soil gifts. Polish cuisine, not counting some common for all people dishes, is varied and depend from regions. The most important reason for this is different methods and products used to preparing food in Polish regions. There are different dishes, too, not know in another regions at all. Now we can observe renovation of old Polish restaurants, They became very popular and famous again. Forgotten recipes are collected and publicated. In Little Poland next edition of unique "Cook Book of Żegocina" is going to be published with regional recipes hand writed by local landlady. It makes specific atmosphere of cooking with "grandma's recipes". For mountains region - famous is traditional regional cheese product called "oscypek". Very rich is cakes' offer. Many cakes, creams are preapered on the base of hundred years old recipes passed by generations. The most important trump of this kitchen products is using 100% natural products for their preparing. Kitchen for Polish people is important. In Poland it is said: "the way to human hearth is by stomach". Regional food is conected with many atractive festivals and celebrations such as celebration of regional dishes, time of pig roasting, tomato days or beans holliday.
11. Sport and active leasure

In Poland You will find many ways to have nice holliday - but in our opinion the most attractive for health is active leasure. When we look for our potential we can say that Poland is made for this kind leasure. Many water's bases let for kayaks flow, fishing, swiming and dive; many smaller and bigger horses stable are responsible for leasure with horses. Poland from the begining was conected with horses and is now famous for Horse Centre in Janow Podlaski; mountains and lowlands trails encourage to food and bike wanders; many objects specialise in organisation of survive schools - wonderful solution for holidays for youth; tennis court; ski slope, local airports with offerview flight, cave tourism and more others make Poland a very special place with big opportunities for wonderful free time spending.
12. Shopping and souvenirs

When you will come back home you can always bring something nice from Poland for yourself or your family and friends. It can be small gifts sutch as bells from wickerwork or hay toys, hand made tablecloth, wood sculptures, very nice and original surprise can be made of clay pot with old recipes for delicious dishes. Hand made assortiment and folk craft still live in Polish country. If you come to Polish willage for leasure in Polish agrotourism quarters you will have opportunity to buy regional souvenirs just from creators hands and you will be able to see workshop. You can buy these products in many special shops in Poland called Cepelia or in galeries and of course in Cracow's "Sukiennice" with hundred years of tradition.
13. Local traditions and folk art

Poland is rich in traditions, it is a country of many reasons to organise festivals and holidays. We are a nation which likes good food, likes to play, sing and dance. Each event is conected with all this elements. The reason for an event can be for example a day of opening of the tourism season, holliday of bee, holiday of the Quin of Dunajec river or contest of local regional art and more another. The oldest Polish organisation was founded on Polish country. They are still active without any break to this days for 140 years. They take care about local art, traditions, folk art. The most important organisation are: Farmers Rings with 140 years history and The Ring of Housewifes with 135 years time of activity. It is said that each nation has it's own traditions, in Poland we can say that each region has it's own culture and traditions too. Polish farmers wear for special occasion colourful folk clothes, another in each region. The most famous garments are: Cracow's, Łowicz's, Kaszub's and Mountain's people. Many hand painted wood homes present Polish folk architecture.
14. Rich accomodation base

As Polish accomodation base we can mention: hotels, pensions, motels, sanatoriums, agrotourism quarters and private or public hostels and many more. You can sleep in new buildings, but you can also stay in old Polish castles, old country cottage or summer houses. You can spend your holliday with Polish people in their home (agrotourism) in one room or using entire apartment. Polish offers are of high quality. We are sure that by coming to Poland you will find something for you and for your family or friends.
